Puget Sound races Pacific Lutheran for Meyer / Lamberth Cup

TACOMA, Washington – Puget Sound men's and women's crew tied Pacific Lutheran for overall points (the Al Lawrence Award) during the Meyer / Lamberth Cup on American Lake on Sunday afternoon.

The Logger men won the Meyer Cup when the men's varsity four timed in at 6:56.7, well head of the Lutes' time of 8:01.1 

The Puget Sound women's novice four picked up a victory by timing in at 8:44.6, six seconds against the Lutes' boat.

The women's varsity eight timed in at 7:05.8, 12 seconds behind the Lutes. Pacific Lutheran also won with its second varsity eight boat. PLU finished in 7:15.3, and the Loggers' 'A' boat timed in at 7:18.1.

Next up on the schedule, Puget Sound competes in the Northwest Conference Championship & Cascades Cup in Vancouver, Washington, on April 24.
