Men capture Rainier Cup, women second in NWC Championship

LAKEWOOD, Washington – The Puget Sound women's second varsity-eight won its race during the Northwest Conference Championship on American Lake Sunday morning, and the Logger men won the Rainier Cup in regattas hosted by Puget Sound.

Results 

The W2V8 timed in at 8:24.0, beating boats from Pacific Lutheran and Mills. Puget Sound's W3V8 beat out a pair of Pacific Lutheran boats. However, the Lutes won the NWC title for the third consecutive year. Alyssa Bebout and Lilly Herman were both named to the All-NWC team.

The men's varsity-eight timed in at 7:10.3, beating Pacific Lutheran by more than 30 seconds, and toping a Lewis & Clark boat by almost 40 seconds.
