BEAUMONT, Calif. - Enjoying three beautiful days of golf in Southern California, senior Jordan Hodge (Tucson, Ariz.) put together three beautiful rounds of golf to take medalist honors at the Redlands Invitational at East Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, Calif.
Hodge opened the tournament with a one-under 71 and then shot rounds of 75 and 73 to finish just three over par with a 219. As a team, the Loggers took second, trailing only sixth-ranked Redlands. The host Bulldogs fired two sub-300 rounds to finish with a 50-over 914 in the 54 hole event. The Loggers were second at 946, followed by Pomona-Pitzer (956) and Chapman (969).
Marc Phillips (Boise, Idaho/Timberline) fired two sub-80 rounds to finish second for the Loggers with 240. Greg Kirkpatrick (Longview, Wash./Mark Morris) was third on the team with a 242. Riley Conlin (Golden Valley, Minn./Breck) shot a 245 and Collin Wulff (Albany, Ore./West Albany) came into the clubhouse with a 248. Senior Mikey Pannier (Sandy, Utah/Brighton) shot a 264 for the Loggers.
Individual standings, as well as individual scores for the other participating schools, were not made available by Redlands.
