SUN RIVER, Oregon – The Puget Sound men are in seventh, while the women are in eighth place at the end of the first day of competition at the Northwest Conference Championships. The tournament is being contested at the Crosswater Golf Club and is being hosted by Pacific.
Brett Golden is leading the way for the Logger men, finishing Saturday's play in a tie for fifth place. Golden shot a 3-over par 75. Hudson Hausmann is in a tie for 21st at seven-over 79. Rob Schulberg and Colin Racjzak are locked in a tie for 29th at nine-over 81, while Casey Weston is in 43rd place at 20-over par 92.
Willamette is leading the tournament after Saturday's play after carding a 10-over 298. The Loggers are 28-over 314 as a team.
For the women, Halle Peterson leads the way at 15-over 87, good for a tie for 26th. Kristi Koyanagi is T-31 at 22-over par 94, while Lauren Boniface is tied for 36th at 36-over 108. Pearl Zhu is in 41st at 51-over 123.
George Fox is leading after one day of place after shooting a 14-over 302. The Loggers are 124-over 412.
The Loggers will conclude play at the NWC Championships on Sunday, April 24. The teams will begin with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m., with the women teeing off on the back nine, and the men on the front nine.
