CRESWELL, Oregon – The Puget Sound men's golf team placed seventh in the Northwest Conference Fall Classic, while the Logger women finished eighth this weekend. Willamette hosted the event at Emerald Valley Golf Resort.
As a team, the Logger men shot 77 over par through two rounds. Pacific Lutheran won the event. The Puget Sound women shot 227 over par. George Fox won the women's NWC Fall Classic.
David Follett was the Loggers' best finisher in the men's competition. He tied for 30th after shooting an 81 in the first round and an 80 in the second (+17 overall). Nate Boegi (+19) and Casey Weston (+20) finished 33rd and 34th, respectively.
On the women's side, Kristi Koyanagi was the Loggers' top finisher. She shot 46 over par to place 33rd overall. Emmi Modahl shot 56 over par to place 36th.
Both Logger teams next compete in the Whitworth Invitational starting on Oct. 23.
