SPANAWAY, Washington – The Puget Sound women's golf team placed fourth out of seven teams in the Pacific Lutheran Invitational, which concluded Sunday, at Lake Spanaway Golf Course.
The Loggers shot +118 between the two rounds, and they placed ahead of Northwest Conference rivals Pacific and Pacific Lutheran. Whitworth won the event by shooting 64 over par as a team.
Kristi Koyanagi placed sixth for Puget Sound. She shot an 85 in the first round and a 79 in the second (+20). Emmi Modahl tied for seven when she shot an 80 in the first and an 85 in the second (+21).
The Logger men and women host the Puget Sound Invitational, Sept. 29-30, at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington.
