WALLA WALLA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's golf team placed fifth and the women finished sixth in the Northwest Conference Championships hosted by Whitman, which concluded Sunday.
The Logger shot 45 over par through the two rounds, which was 23 strokes behind first-place Willamette. The Logger women shot 158 over par, and Whitman won the team title.
Mac Turner finished 11th overall by shooting 10 over par. He shot a 78 in the first round, and improved to a 76 in the second round. Colin Rajczak tied for 14th after a big second round. He shot a 73 on Sunday after going for 83 on Saturday.
Kristi Koyanagi was the top golfer for the Logger women. She tied for 20th by shooting a 173. Allyson Niitani placed 30th by shooting a 187, and Emmi Modahl was one stroke behind Niitani.
