Complete All-NWC Teams

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Senior Rex Holmes finished his career with Honorable Mention on the All-Northwest Conference men's basketball team. Holmes spent two years with the Loggers after transferring to Puget Sound as a junior.

Holmes, from Chico, Calif., ended the 2012-13 season as the Loggers leading scorer with an average of 12.8 points per game. During the conference season, Holmes increased his scoring efforts to become the Loggers leading scorer.

"Rex had a great year and really fought through some adversity with injuries this season," said head coach Justin Lunt. "We are thankful for his leadership, attitude, and effort. Rex will be missed next season."

He averaged 14.1 points per game, scoring in double digits for 11 of his 14 games. He also had three single game efforts of 20-plus points with a career-high 24 points coming at Lewis & Clark on Jan. 12.

As the Loggers point guard, Holmes also led the squad in assists with 2.7 assists per game. His two steals per game also led the Loggers as well as the entire NWC.

Homes was one of four seniors to conclude their careers last Saturday.
