Loggers defeat Bruins, 2-0, to conclude Homecoming

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound defense didn't allow a goal through two home conference games this weekend, as the men's soccer team beat George Fox, 2-0, Sunday afternoon.

Puget Sound's (4-4-2, 2-2-2 NWC) Luke Murdock scored a goal from an assist by Ian Hamel with three seconds left in the first period.

Twelve minutes into the second period, Cale Spence took a penalty shot that was stopped by the keeper. However, Spence got the rebound and burried the insurance goal.

George Fox (3-4-1, 1-4-1 NWC) put six shots on goal, but Wren Norwood made all six saves.

Thirty-five total fouls were given to both teams, and George Fox received four yellow cards during the match.

Puget Sound will host Pacific Lutheran (8-4-0, 4-2-0 NWC) Saturday Oct. 6, at 2:30 p.m.
