Despite 3-1 lead, Loggers fall short to PLU

TACOMA, Washington - The Puget Sound men's soccer team held a 3-1 lead at halftime, but Pacific Lutheran came back for a 4-3 victory in Baker Stadium Friday afternoon.

Thirty-four seconds into the first period, Gabriel Faro-White netted a goal off an assist from Stefan Jensen. Puget Sound (4-5-2, 2-3-2) struck again two-and-a-half minutes later with a goal by Cale Spence, assisted by Luke Murdock and Sean Hamel.

Pacific Lutheran (9-4-0, 5-2-0) answered back in the 22nd minute with a goal. Five minutes later, however, the Loggers got the goal back when Murdock tapped in a score off a free kick by Hamel.

Loggers put nine shots on goal during the game, and Wren Norwood made five saves.

Puget Sound will take on George Fox (1-8-1, 0-5-1) at home Sunday, Oct. 13, at 12 p.m.
