Loggers Fall At Whitworth
SPOKANE, Wash. – The Puget Sound men's tennis team fell 9-0 at Whitworth on Sunday. The Loggers also fell 9-0 to Whitman on Friday.
Whitworth breezed through the doubles and won all six singles points in straight sets to complete the sweep.
Michael Cutter and Graham Baker fell 8-1 at No. 1 and Jake Peterson and Daniel Deuel fell 8-3 at No. 2. Abe Noyes and Michael Tieu then fell 8-4 at No. 3.
Cameron Williams defeated Cutter in the No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-1. Baker fell 6-0, 6-4 to Drew Brigham and Deuel dropped a 6-0, 6-0 match to Chris Engelmann. Noyes suffered a 6-2, 6-2 defeat at No. 4 while Peterson fell 7-7, 6-1 to John Talbot. Micah Spaun completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-3 win over John Stevens.
The Loggers are back home against Pacific Lutheran on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. match.
