Logger tennis teams lose to nationally ranked Whitman

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound tennis teams were both blanked by the nationally ranked Whitman programs on Saturday afternoon. The Logger men fell to No. 14 Whitman, 9-0, on the road. Playing at home, the women lost by the same score to No. 25 Whitman.

Riley Inn and Nicholas Lupan battled hard at No. 1 doubles for the Puget Sound men. However, the duo's Whitman counterpart outlasted the Loggers, 9-7. Inn also lost at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-3.

On the women's side, Elizabeth Chao and Nicole Bouche lost at No. 1 doubles, 8-3.

Both Logger teams conclude the 2016 season against Whitworth on Sunday, April 17. The men remain on the road, while the women host the Pirates at 10 a.m.
