TACOMA, Washington – Jaci Young tossed her seventh complete game of the season while picking up her first multiple-hit game at the plate, but the Puget Sound softball team lost two home games against George Fox.

Young yielded just three earned runs through seven innings as the Loggers (4-30, 1-21 NWC) and Bruins (26-8, 16-16 NWC) remained close through the first five innings. George Fox held a 2-0 edge after two innings, but Puget Sound evened the scored in the home half of the third.
Young reached base on an error by the shortstop, and Amelia dropped down a sacrifice bunt to move Young into scoring position. Jessica Gott followed with an RBI single to right field to put the Loggers on the board. Haley Gray's infield single put two runners on base for Lisa Colombo, who reached base on an error that allowed Gott to score the game-tying run.
A pair of Puget Sound errors in the sixth inning helped the Bruins score four runs to seal the win.
Puget Sound 0, George Fox 9
Young hit a pair of singles for her first multi-hit game of the year. She smacked a base hit to centerfield in the fifth inning, and beat out an infield in the seventh inning. Young posted two multi-hit games for the Loggers as a freshman last season.
The Loggers host Pacific for a doubleheader on Sunday, April 12, starting at 12 p.m.
