FEDERAL WAY, Washington – The Puget Sound women's swim team finished fourth, while the men's team placed fifth place at the Northwest Conference Championships. Pacific Lutheran hosted the three-day event at Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington. The women finished with 371 points, while the men recorded 341 points.
On the women's side, Auri Clark won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:10.00. Kristian Kotchik placed seventh in the same event (2:14.26). Aza Verhoeven finished seventh in the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.82).
For the Logger men, Nick Mitchell placed fifth in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:15.03), while David Olson finished seventh in the 200 backstroke (1:57.38). Keven Henley placed fifth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.59. Ian Conery finished eighth in the 200 breaststroke (2:10.72). The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Matt Goldberg, Mitchell, Matt Davis, and Henley placed fifth (3:10.75).
Pacific Lutheran won the Championships on the women's side with 796 points. The Whitworth men finished first with 700 points.
