TACOMA, Washington – The first weekend of Northwest Conference duals opened with resounding success for the Puget Sound men's and women's swim teams, and the Loggers aim to keep momentum with their first home NWC duals of the season this weekend. Puget Sound battles Linfield on Friday, Nov. 10, at 5 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. bout against Willamette.
Both Logger teams beat Lewis & Clark and Pacific on the road last week. The Logger men beat the Pioneers, 112-93, and the women were victorious, 119-86 (Nov. 4). The following day, the Puget Sound men men won at Pacific, 131-66, and the Logger women beat the Boxers, 143-59.

Scouting Linfield and Willamette
In their first NWC dual of the season, the Linfield men lost to Whitworth, but the women beat the Pirates (Nov. 3). Both Wildcat teams lost to Whitman the following day. Both Willamette teams lost their first two duals of the season, against Whitman and Whitworth. Linfield's Evette Dowe was named the NWC Women's Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week earlier this week.
