Callahan, Champagne lead Loggers in NWC Sprints

McMINNVILLE, Oregon – Kelli Callahan placed second overall during the Northwest Conference Sprint Meet hosted by Linfield Saturday, and Eli Champagne was ninth overall.

Callahan's 1:02.03 time in the 100-yard IM was second overall. She also timed in at 30.21 in the 50-backstroke, and 27.78 in the 50-butterfly.

Calista Skog was fourth overall in the women's pentathlon. Her best race was a third-place finish in the 50-freestyle (25.53).

Champagne was the top overall swimmer for the Logger men, as he finished ninth overall. Champagne was second in the 50-butterfly (23.86), and he finished top 10 in the 50-freestyle (23.60).

Ethan Done placed 13th overall for the Logger men. He finished ninth in the 50 breaststroke by touching the wall in 29.70.

The first dual of the season is at home against Lewis & Clark, Friday, Nov. 2.
