Callahan receives first NWC honor of the season

TACOMA, Washington – The reigning Northwest Conference Women's Co-Swimmer of the Year is already picking up conference honors. Junior Kelli Callahan won six races between two NWC duals to earn NWC Women's Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week.

During the Loggers' 120-85 home win against Lewis & Clark (Nov. 2), Callahan won the 400-IM (4:35.37), the 500-freestyle (5:20.24), and the 100-breaststroke (1:07.61). 

The following day, Puget Sound won against Linfield, 103-102. Callahan won the women's 200-IM by touching the wall in 2:10.07, and she was victorious in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:28.26. Callahan was also on the first-place 400-medley relay team (4:06.55).  

The Don Duncan Alumni Meet is Nov. 10, and the Logger men and women continue their NWC slate at Pacific, Nov. 16.
