Three School Records Down At UW Indoor Open

SEATTLE – Three school records fell at the UW Indoor Open for the Puget Sound track & field teams. Matt Heflin set a school record in the 600m while Andrea Leiken and Alicia Burns set school records for the women.

Heflin ran a 1:30.29 in the 600 to set the school record in the event. He placed 16th. Leiken's 58.75 in the 400m broke the school record for the third time this season as she placed 15th in the field of 60 runners. Burns finished with a 2:26.39 in the 800m to set the Loggers third record of the day.

Several Loggers also hit personal-bests in the meet, including Sean Tyree with a 52.12 in the 400m. His time ranks fifth on the Loggers all-time list.

The Loggers closed their indoor season at the meet and will open their outdoor season on Mar. 3 when they host a Quad Meet in Baker Stadium.
