Three Loggers Compete At Pacific Twilight

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Three Loggers competed at the Pacific Twilight on Saturday, representing the Puget Sound track & field teams.

Elizabeth King had a seasonal best pole vault and highlighted the Loggers performances. She cleared the bar just over 11 feet (3.37 meters) to take third in the event.

Joe Cerne competed in two events for the Loggers. He tossed the discus 36.99 meters (121-feet, 4-inches) to take 15th of 20 athletes in the event. He also competed in the pole vault, entering the competition when the bar was over 13-feet but no heighted.

Alicia Burns also ran the 800m and took eighth with a 2:20.01.

Cerne is still in line for a spot in the decathlon field at the NCAA Championships but will keep a close eye on the rankings before the selections are announced on May 19.
