TACOMA, Washington – The men's and women's track & field teams are set to compete in the University of Washington Indoor Open Meet this Sunday, February 14.
Notable events (men's)
Field events are scheduled for Sunday morning, with Cameron Braithwaite scheduled to compete in the long jump. He will then participate in the 60-m dash along with Graham Cobb. Sam Carilli will run in the mile, while Justin Bigelow, Andrew Langtry, Geremia Lizier-Zmudzinski, James Markin, and Tyler Shipley will all compete in the 3000-m. To round out the day, a team made up of Ross MacAusland, Cobb, Braithwaite, and Sam Carilli is scheduled to compete in the 1600-m relay.
Notable events (women's)
Elizabeth King and Sunny Lewis are scheduled to compete in the pole vault, while Emily Prasil will participate in the triple jump after recording the seventh-best distance in Puget Sound history last weekend (32'05.75"). In running events, Logan Bays, Anna Joseph, and Prasil are scheduled to run in the 60-m dash. Mara Cummings will compete in the 400-m dash, looking to once again move up in the Puget Sound record books after ranking seventh in school history last week. Alison Wise recorded the seventh-fastest 800-m run time last weekend, and is scheduled in the same race at the Open. Eshelman and Terra Wildon will compete in the mile run, while Tori Klein and Taili Ni will run in the 3000-m. The Loggers' women 1600-m relay team will be made of Cummings, Joseph, Wise, and Wildon.
Also on tap this weekend
Prior to the UW Open Meet, the Husky Classic will also be held at the University of Washington. Tyler Shipley is scheduled to compete in the men's 5000-m on Friday evening, while Geremia Lizier-Zmudzinski will run in the Mile Run on Saturday afternoon.
