Porter, Schaffer lead way for track & field teams at Linfield

McMINNVILLE, Oregon – The Puget Sound men's and women's track & field teams totaled seven top-three finishes at the Linfield Invitational Saturday afternoon. Teams scores were not kept. 

Results 

Brandin Porter won the men's discus by clearing 41.05-m. Samantha Schaffer won the women's 3,000-m steeplechase with a time of 11:28.30.

Jesten Moya placed third in the men's long jump, clearing 6.44-m. AJ Johnson was third in the triple jump with a distance of 12.73-m. The men's 4x100-m relay team comprised of Miles Carlson, Sean Barnes, Marcus Wiley, and Chris Branham placed second (46.41).

Emma Hatton took third in the women's 800-m (2:28.73), and Alison Wise was third in the women's 1,500-m (5:01.10).

Puget Sound's next team meet is in the St. Martin's Invitational, April 14.
