LACEY, Washington – The Puget Sound track & field program placed two Northwest Conference qualifiers during the Jay Hammer Meet hosted by St. Martin's Saturday.
The Logger women tied for ninth out of 19 teams, and Logger men finished 10th out of 17 teams.
Alison Wise qualified for the NWC women's 400-m by timing in at 1:01.60, which is her personal record. Ryan Engledow qualified for the NWC men's 3,000-m steeplechase with a time of 10:40.67. That mark is also a personal record.
Matt Wells' 14.54 in the 110-m hurdles ranks No. 3 on Puget Sound's all-time list. He won the event, beating 14 other competitors.
The NWC Championships are April 20-21, at Linfield.
