TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's basketball team participated We Day Tacoma at the Life Center on Thursday, Oct. 5. The Loggers spoke with more than 2,000 Tacoma Public Schools seventh graders about overcoming adversity and pursuing their dreams.
"I'm so proud of our student-athletes for the job they did during We Day Tacoma," said Puget Sound first-year head coach Casey Kushiyama. "In a short amount of time, they showcased their entire repertoire of characteristics and charm. They were engaging, inspirational, funny, and strong. I can't emphasize enough how proud I am of them. Giving back to this community and making an impact on the lives of young, impressionable kids is what this program is all about."
