TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's basketball team is in San Antonio, Texas, for two games in the Trinity Women's Basketball Christmas Classic. Puget Sound takes on the host school Wednesday, Dec. 20, and then the Loggers tipoff against Schreiner Thursday, Dec. 21.

A league of her own
Jamie Lange leads the Northwest Conference in scoring (17.7 points per game) and rebounding (13.1 rebounds per game). She also ranks second in blocks per game (1.9), and fourth in field-goal percentage (53.3 percent). Lange has five double-doubles this season.
Puget Sound leads the NWC on the glass with 44.8 rebounds per game. Whitworth has the next-best mark with 41.3 rebounds per game. Meghan Hamel (6.1) is ninth in the NWC for rebounding, and Claire Fitzgerald (6.1) is close behind.
The Loggers resume their NWC schedule at George Fox on Friday, Jan. 5.
Scouting Trinity (Tex.) (4-1)
The Tigers are ranked No. 19 in the most recent D3hoops.com Top 25 poll. Trinity has played against two NWC teams. The Tigers beat Willamette, 62-46, but lost to George Fox, 65-61. Micah Weaver (19.0) and Abby Holland (17.0) are the team's two leading scorers.
Scouting Schreiner (2-5)
The Mountaineers enter the Classic with four losses in their last five contests. Schreiner is averaging 58.2 points per game while shooting just 32.4 percent from the floor. Kendall Dyal is the team's high scorer with 8.7 points per game, and Jordyn Villa averages 8.0 rebounds per game.
