TACOMA, Washington – Jamie Lange averaged 16 points and 12.5 rebounds per game in Texas to earn Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week. The award was extended to a two-week period through the holiday season.
The Puget Sound women's basketball team posted a 1-1 record in the Trinity Women's Basketball Classic, Dec. 20-21. The Loggers lost against the host team, No. 19/13 Trinity (Tex.), 77-46, but Lange had 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Puget Sound bounced back with a 77-48 win over Schreiner. Lange finished with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and seven blocks in the win. She leads the NWC in points per game (17.3), rebounds per game (13.0), and ranks second in blocks per game (2.2).
The Loggers resume their NWC schedule at George Fox on Friday, Jan. 5, at 6 p.m. The Bruins are ranked No. 23 in the country in the most recent Women's Basketball Coaches Association national poll.
