Henderson nets career-high four 3-pointers to beat Geoducks

TACOMA, Washington – Mara Henderson was lights out from 3-point range to lead the Puget Sound women's basketball team to a 67-56 non-conference win over Evergreen State in Memorial Fieldhouse Wednesday night.

Henderson made a career-best four 3-pointers, and she missed just one attempt from distance. The junior netted a season-high 12 points, and she was one of four Loggers (4-2) to score in double figures against the Geoducks (0-6).

Jamie Lange notched her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 15 rebounds, while Elizabeth Prewitt neared a double-double with 10 points and eight boards. RaeAnn Allen matched her season-high in scoring with 15 points, marking her third consecutive game with 10 or more points.

Henderson set the tone early as the first points of the game came off her first of four 3-pointers. She was 3-for-4 from 3-point range in the first half, and she kept a hot hand by hitting a trey just 90 seconds into the second half.

The Loggers don't compete for another 10 days, when they lace up for the Pacific Lutheran Holiday Tournament, Dec. 15-16, in Parkland, Washington. Puget Sound is scheduled to tipoff against Nichols and Caltech that weekend.
