Puget Sound in 2016

The 2016 Loggers graduated their top two high scorers, but return three All-NWC performers. Elena Becker comes back a year after being named to the All-Northwest Conference First Team. She led the team in ground balls (36) and caused turnovers (27). Also returning are All-NWC Second Team performers, Hailey Shoemaker and Roxanne Krietzman. Shoemaker looks to be a force in the midfield again, after forcing five turnovers and collecting 28 ground balls. Krietzman was the third leading scorer in 2016, recording 13 goals.

Scouting the Crusaders

The University of Texas-Dallas is located in Irving, Texas, and competes in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The team plays under first-year head coach Destinee Johnson. Goalkeeper Kyla Mangham returns after recording 77 saves in 12 starts. The Loggers and Crusaders have played twice, with Puget Sound winning both match-ups. Most recently, the Loggers won 17-4 in 2005.
