Eight Loggers score in defeat of Dallas

IRVING, Texas – Meghan Bacher had two goals and two assists, as the Puget Sound lacrosse team defeated Dallas, 14-8, on Saturday afternoon.

Ella Frazer and Roxanne Krietzman each scored three goals to lead the Loggers (4-2). Bacher and Elizabeth Ward added two goals each, while Sara Burke, Hailey Shoemaker, Haley Schuster, and Izzy Amaya each chipped in a goal.  

The Loggers outscored the Crusaders (2-8) 8-5 in the first half. The visitors scored the first two goals in the second half to take a 10-5 lead, and keep control of the game. In the next 20 minutes, Puget Sound scored four of the five goals recorded. Dallas scored the final two goals of the game, but the Loggers held on to finish the weekend 2-0.   

Ally Benko led the team with five ground balls, while Shoemaker had four. Ali Walker had four draw controls, while Shoemaker and Bacher each caused two turnovers. Benko (3-2) earned the victory, making 10 saves.  

The Loggers will next host George Fox on Saturday, April 1. The game is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
