TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound lacrosse team found itself in an early hole that it could not overcome during an 18-7 loss against Southwestern (Tex.) on Peyton Field Sunday afternoon.
Southwestern (7-7) tallied a goal just 13 seconds into the contest, and proceeded to score seven unanswered until Ella Frazer put the Loggers on the board with 6:37 left in the first half. Bacher added a second goal for the Loggers 2:26 before the break, and Puget Sound entered halftime in a 7-2 deficit.
Frazer and Bacher both scored again in the second half, while Schuster added a pair of second-half goals.
The Loggers return to Northwest Conference action when they host Whitman on Friday, April 14, at 4 p.m.
