NEWBERG, Oregon – The Loggers trailed by just one late in the first half, but the Puget Sound lacrosse team fell to George Fox, 18-6, on Sunday afternoon.
The Bruins (12-2, 8-0 NWC) scored the first four goals, but Puget Sound scored four of the next five goals to pull within one goal at 5-4 with nine minutes remaining in the half. George Fox led 8-4 at halftime. The Bruins outscored the Loggers 10-2 in the second half to secure the conference victory.
Elena Becker led the Loggers with six groundballs, while Frazer had a team high three draw controls. Frazer also cuased a team high three turnovers. Ally Benko (4-8) took the loss between the pipes, making 13 saves in 60 minutes.
