Loggers wrap up pre-season with a 3-0 win over Evergreen St.

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's soccer team was on fire Sunday afternoon against Evergreen State, capturing a 3-0 win over the Geoducks.

The Puget Sound defense held the opposition scoreless for the third consecutive game.

The Loggers got on the board early in the 13th minute when Genevieve Cheatham capitalized on a cross from Gabbie Berg, giving Puget Sound an early 1-0 advantage.  

The Loggers secured their 1-0 lead into halftime.

In the 66th minute of play, Elisabeth Webber placed a phenomenal cross that was finished by Kendra Elderkin, leveraging Puget Sound to a 2-0 lead over the Geoducks.

Just six minutes later, the Loggers achieved their third and final goal off of Kellcy Emory's corner kick, netted by Lura Morton.

The Loggers put seven shots on goal, while Evergreen St. managed eight shots total (five on goal).

The Loggers kickoff conference play at home against Linfield on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 12 p.m.
