TACOMA, Washington –The Puget Sound women's soccer teamed secured their 2-0 win against Pacific with two first half goals, Sunday afternoon.
Genevieve Cheatham netted the Loggers first goal in the 13th minute. Cheatham received a cross from Tess Peppis and placed the ball perfectly in the bottom right corner of the goal. This was Cheatham's fourth goal of the season and Peppis's third assist.
Senior Emily Prasil found Puget Sound's second goal just nine minutes later. Prasil dribbled down to the left sideline, shot the ball from the corner and it glided into the upper right bend of the net. Leveraging the Loggers to a 2-0 advantage in the first 22 minutes of play.
Puget Sound continued their attack throughout the match, outshooting the Boxers, 12-5, but failed to net a third goal.
The Loggers head to McMinnville, Oregon, to take on Linfield Friday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m.
