Lange notches 13 saves in season-opening loss

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Puget Sound women's soccer team dropped its 2018 season opener, 1-0, against Emory Friday afternoon. Trinity (Tex.) hosted the neutral-site contest. 

Jamie Lange, the reigning Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year, totaled a career-high 13 saves for the Loggers (0-1), as Emory (1-0) kept the pressure on Puget Sound all 90 minutes.

Emory totaled 32 shots, 14 of which were on goal. Puget Sound mustered just three shots, neither of which were on target.

Puget Sound remains in Texas to take on Trinity (Tex.) Sunday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. (PT).
