Chao wins two matches, but the Loggers lose to College of Idaho

TACOMA, Washington – Elizabeth Chao won both of her matches against College of Idaho, but the Puget Sound women's tennis team lost to the Coyotes, 7-2, in the Tennis Pavilion on Friday evening.

Results

Chao won at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-2. She and Nicole Bouche teamed for a victory at No. 1 doubles, 8-6. Two-sport student-athlete Claire Fitzgerald (women's basketball) narrowly lost at No. 4 singles. She won the first set, 6-4, but dropped the second, 6-4. Her counterpart won the tiebreaker, 10-7.

The Loggers play at Pacific Lutheran at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, while the Puget Sound men host the Lutes at 12 p.m.
