Harvey, Kniffin Recognized By Tacoma Athletic Commission
As the top female and male student-athletes at Puget Sound, Jackie Harvey and Adam Kniffin were recognized by the TAC at a May luncheon.

Christina Chun is studying abroad this semester in Japan after helping Logger volleyball to the Elite 8 last fall. That is a #whyd3 story in itself but Chun's story goes much deeper as an elite student and an elite athlete at Puget Sound.

Loggers Postseason Run Closes With Four-Set Loss To Top-Ranked Calvin
The Loggers hung tough in the first set and took the second set in convincing fashion before Calvin took over in the third and fourth sets to advance to tomorrow's semifinals. Jackie Harvey and Marissa Florant each had 10 kills while Nicolette Reynaud had seven total blocks.

Volleyball NCAA Finals Notes
The volleyball team is one of eight teams in Holland, Mich. at Hope College for the NCAA Division III Volleyball Finals. The No. 12 Loggers will face No. 1 Calvin in the quarterfinal match tomorrow at 5 p.m. (PST).

Harvey Earns First Team All-America Honors
Junior outside hitter Jackie Harvey continued to bring in the postseason accolades as she was announced as a First Team All-American on Tuesday. She is just the fifth Logger in Puget Sound history to earn the award.

Regional Champs! Loggers Defeat Cal Lutheran In Four Sets To Advance In NCAA Tournament
The Loggers overcame a first set loss to win the next three staight sets and advance to Holland, Mich. for the NCAA Quarterfinals. Jackie Harvey had 16 kills and the Loggers totaled 11 team blocks.

Loggers Firing On All Cylinders To Advance To Regional Championship
Jackie Harvey had 14 kills and the Loggers posted nine blocks and 10 service aces to sweep past the second-seeded Chapman Panthers on Saturday. The Loggers advance into the regional championship match and the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Tournament.

Loggers Advance On Four-Set Win Over Colorado College
Marissa Florant had 14 kills and Jackie Harvey had 12 more to lead the Loggers past Colorado College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Loggers took the first two sets, fell in the third, but rebounded with the decisive win in the fourth.

The Loggers are back in the tournament for the fifth time in six years. Their quest for a run through Regionals begins on Friday at 3 p.m. against Colorado College. The match will be live streamed by the hosts, Cal Lutheran.

McDonald, Henle, Brehove Close Out Regular Season With Weekly Honors
Chris McDonald, Theresa Henle and Jenni Brehove all finished up the 2012 regular season with NWC Student-Athlete of the Week honors. McDonald extended his career record of 33 shutouts while Henle and Brehove led their teams into postseason play.

Harvey Named NWC Player of the Year
Four Loggers earned All-NWC honors this year, highlighted by junior outside hitter Jackie Harvey earning NWC Player of the Year honors. Jenni Brehove joined Harvey on the First Team while Christina Chun was selected to the Second Team and Nicolette Reynaud earned Honorable Mention.

The Logger volleyball team received an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament on Monday. The Loggers will face Colorado College in the first round at the Cal Lutheran regional in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Loggers Close Out Regular Season With Sweep Of L&C
Three Loggers had nine kills and five reached double digits in digs as the Loggers made quick work of Lewis & Clark. With a second place finish in the NWC, the Loggers will look for an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament, which will be announced Monday morning.

Junior Jackie Harvey had a monster week, averaging 4.86 kills to lead the Loggers to a 2-0 weekend and extended their winning streak to four matches. She became the first Logger to ever earn the AVCA's Player of the Week honor.

Jackie Harvey had 21 kills in just four sets while also adding 16 digs to lead the Loggers to a 3-1 victory over Linfield. Jenni Brehove dished out 46 assists and the Loggers held a 7-1 advantage in blocks.

The Loggers are fifth in the first edition of the NCAA regional rankings, release today by the NCAA. In the AVCA national poll, the Loggers fell to 15th.

Loggers Comeback Falls Short At Whitworth
Jackie Harvey had 17 kills and Nicolette Reynaud added 16 kills in the match. After Whitworth took the first two sets, the Loggers took the next two to force a fifth and deciding set. However, it was the Pirates that caught fire in the fifth set for the match win.

The Loggers overcame a slow start to beat Whitman 3-1 in Walla Walla on Friday. Jenni Brehove had 39 assists and combined with Marissa Florant for seven of the Loggers' 11 service aces.

The Loggers upset the ninth-ranked team in Division III in four set behind a double-double from Marissa Florant that included 15 kills and 19 digs. The Loggers then took a set from fifth-ranked Wittenberg but ultimately fell in four sets.
