Loggers drop first set, but dominate the next three against Pios

PORTLAND, Oregon – Alli Reviglio led all players with 13 kills as the Puget Sound volleyball team improved to 3-1 in the Northwest Conference with a 3-1 (16-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-13) win at Lewis & Clark Friday night.

It looked as though the Loggers (6-6, 3-1 NWC) might be in for a long night when the Pioneers (7-3, 0-3 NWC) won the opening set by nine points. However, Puget Sound won three consecutive sets by no less than eight points, each.

Lewis & Clark was held to a -.008 hitting percentage, while the Loggers attacked at a .178 clip.

Aliah Ayau finished with a match-high 18 assists. She and Sydney Voss both came away with 11 digs.

The Loggers play their third consecutive NWC road game at Whitworth, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m.
