TACOMA, Wash. – The Puget Sound cross county teams opened the 2011 season today as they hosted the Puget Sound Invite at Ft. Steilacoom. Freshman Joshua Seekatz made his Logger debut with a top-10 finish and junior Carrie Keith led the Loggers in the women's race.
Seekatz posted a time of 27:32 to finish ninth with Matt Klein following close behind in 12th at 27:56. Casey Wall was next to cross the finish line 28:43 in 19th and freshman Justin Higa's time of 29:26 placed him in 21st.
On the women's side, Keith posted a 25:11 to take seventh in the race. Freshman Molly Bradbury made her Logger debut with a 10th-place finish at 25:18 and Kathryn Flyte came in 12th with a time of 25:32. Laura Leach was the next Logger to finish at 25:50 and Brooke Peaden rounded out the Loggers scoring with a time 27:45.
The Loggers will head up north to Seattle for their next meet at the Sundodger Invitational on Sep. 17.
