TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound swim teams dominated in their return to competition Saturday afternoon in Wallace Pool. The Logger women beat Lewis & Clark, 131-61, and the Logger men were victorious by a score of 109-70.
Results
In women's races,
Sara Guillen won the 1,650-freestyle (18:52.33), and she took second in the 100-freestyle (58.93).
Annie Sullivan won the 100-freestyle (57.57)
Emily Nolan touched the wall first in the 200-freestyle (200.53), and she was victorious in the 100-backstroke (59.58).
Elinor Glass came away with first place in the 50-freestyle (25.73), while
Lara Franco won the 400-IM (5:00.21), and
Hannah Hamilton won the 100-butterfly (1:00.75).
Grace Moussa earned the last individual victory for the Puget Sound women, timing in at 5:42.10 in the 500-freestyle.
In men's races,
Brett Kolb won the 400-IM (4:31.14), while
Corey Hodder earned second place in the event (4:47.40). Kolb also won the 500-freestyle by timing in at 5:08.10.
Justin Chow won the 100-freestyle (50.88), with
Elijah Grinstead taking second (51.03). Grinstead won the 100-breaststroke (1:00.66), and
Calvin Werts won the 100-backstroke by 2.5 seconds (53.99).
The final NWC dual of the year is Saturday, Jan. 29, when the Loggers host Pacific Lutheran at 1 p.m.
