TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's tennis team ended its drought against Linfield by beating the Wildcats, 5-4, in the Tennis Pavilion Sunday. It was the Loggers' first win over Linfield since 2014. Sunday also marked the Loggers' first win of the 2022 season.

Competing at No. 3 singles,
Mike Smolskis lost the first set, but he made a furious comeback to win in three sets (2-6, 6-4, 6-4).
Nicholas Pulido needed two sets to win at No. 5 doubles (6-2, 6-4), and
Brayden Sawyer won No. 6 singles in three sets (6-3, 3-6, 6-3).

In doubles competition, Smolskis and
Rene Del Barco won on the No. 2 court, 8-5. Pulido and Sawyer were victorious at No. 3 doubles, 8-4.
