Tennis teams dominate Willamette

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound tennis teams dominated Willamette Sunday, as the Bearcats managed just one match win between men's and women's contests. The Logger men swept Willamette, 9-0, in Oregon. The Logger women won at home, 8-1.

Brayden Sawyer and Will Church battled to dramatic singles victories. Competing at No. 1 singles, Sawyer lost the first set, but then he fought back to win the next two (4-6, 6-0, 11-9). At No. 2 singles, Church also lost the first set, only to comeback in the next two sets (4-6, 7-5, 11-9).

The Logger women began the day with three lopsided wins in doubles matches. The Loggers didn't allow a Bearcat duo to win more than two games.

Andie Machida swept her counterpart at No. 1 singles (6-0, 6-0), and Paige Shinall did the same at No. 3 singles.
