TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's tennis teams both beat Pacific Lutheran Saturday. The Logger women bruised to a 9-0 win in the Tennis Pavilion, and the Logger men outlast the Lutes, 5-4, on the road.

Both Puget Sound teams swept doubles competition.

Braden Sawyer and
Matthew Merzbach won their respective singles matches to clinch the win for the Logger men. Sawyer won at No. 4 singles (6-4, 6-3), and Merzbach won at No. 6 singles (6-3, 6-3).

In women's singles,
Avery Honaker cruised to a win at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-1). Rachael Heinke was just as dominant at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-1), and
Zoe Love lost only one game at No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-1).
Laura Schneidman won at No. 5 singles in two sets (6-2, 6-0).

The Logger men host Whitman Sunday, April 3, at 10 a.m., while the women compete in Walla Walla against the Blues.
