Swimming teams both finish fourth in final day of the Logger Invitational

TACOMA, Wash. – Over the course of three days, the Logger Swim Team participated in a challenging competition that featured seven teams and a total of 44 events. The weekend culminated with both teams securing fourth place finishes, the women's team with a total score of 566, and the men's team finishing strong with a score of 514.

Among the standout performances from the men's team, Will Cabana exhibited a stellar performance, clinching second place in the 200-yard Backstroke with a swift time of 1:53.52. Ethan Schwartz secured a podium finish by taking third place in the fiercely competitive 200-yard Backstroke, clocking in at 1:53.69. Lance Mielke claimed a fourth place finish in the 100-yard Individual Medley with a time of 53.35. Josh Cunningham displayed resilience, earning fourth place in the demanding 200-yard Backstroke event, finishing with a time of 1:55.27. Elijah Grinstead secured fourth place in the 200-yard Breaststroke, with a time of 2:04.88.

The women impressed with Elinor Glass leading the Loggers and claiming victory in the 100-yard Individual Medley with an impressive time of 1:00.92. Glass continued to shine, securing a second-place finish in the 200-yard Breaststroke, clocking in at 2:25.71. Maddy Brennan showcased her talent in the 200-yard Butterfly, earning a well-deserved second place with a time of 2:09.89. The women's relay team, comprised of Brennan, Glass, Annie Sullivan, and Amy Madsen, demonstrated collective strength in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay, securing fourth place with a time of 3:37.39.

The Loggers Swim Team's outstanding performances reflect their dedication and skill as we close out the weekend. The Loggers will be back in action in January.
