Box Score TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's tennis team lost its 2023 season-opener to Pacific Lutheran, 6-1, in a non-conference match Wednesday evening in the Tennis Pavilion.
 
The teams mutually opted to not compete in No. 3 doubles nor No. 6 singles.
 
The Loggers' lone victory came at No. 1 doubles. Paige Shinall and Chloe Ivy-Curwen teamed up for 8-6 win. Marissa Perez and Hyla Chatham battled it out at No. 2 doubles but came up just short, 8-6.
 
In singles competition, Chatham won the first set on the No. 3 court, but she wound up falling in three sets.
 
The Loggers return home Sunday, Feb. 19, to host the College of Idaho at 10 a.m.
