Box Score 2 TACOMA, Washington – Will Church and
Noah Henderson both picked up two wins to lead the Puget Sound men's tennis team to a 6-3 Northwest Conference victory over Willamette in the Tennis Pavilion Saturday.
The Puget Sound women's tennis team's No. 1 doubles squad collected its third consecutive win, but the Loggers lost at Willamette, 8-1.
Church and Bayden Sawyer teamed up for an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles. The Loggers also won at No. 2 doubles, 8-3, thanks to
Trent Beckman and Henderson.
Church was later victorious at No. 4 singles in two sets (6-4, 6-1). Henderson won at No. 2 singles (6-3, 6-3),
Conor Blakeney won at No. 5 singles (6-3, 6-0), and
Matthew Merzbach won handedly at No. 6 singles (6-1, 6-0).
Paige Shinall and
Marissa Perez were victorious at women's No. 1 doubles by a score of 8-3. The duo's previous two wins were against Pacific Lutheran and East Texas Baptist.
The Logger teams take on Pacific Sunday, March 12.
