TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's tennis team takes a break from conference competition to host Colorado College Saturday, March 25. Matches begin at 10 a.m.
The Logger men are riding high after grabbing a couple of doubles victories over nationally-ranked Pacific (March 12).
Noah Henderson and
Trent Beckman outlasted the Boxers, 8-7 (7-5) at No. 2 doubles, while
Will Church and
Brayden Sawyer won at No. 3 doubles, 8-5. The Boxers were ranked No. 37 nationally at the time.
Hyla Chatham had a big day for the Logger women against Pacific. She and Annie Van den Berg won at No. 2 doubles, 8-3. Chatham went on to win at No. 3 singles in two sets (6-3, 6-1).
Marissa Perez and
Paige Shinall have been a solid No. 1 doubles team this season, at one stretch winning three consecutive doubles matches.
