TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's tennis teams have a couple of Northwest Conference matches this weekend, but not before hosting East Texas Baptist Friday, March 10.
 
Both Logger teams take on the Tigers out of the American Southwest Conference (NCAA D-III) in the Tennis Pavilion starting at 3 p.m.
 
The Logger men remain at home to host Willamette and Pacific (March 10-11), while the Logger women head to Oregon to go against those same NWC schools.
 
Paige Shinall and Marissa Perez have been a formidable pair at No. 1 doubles for the Logger women. They recently beat Whitworth counterparts, 8-6, in Spokane (March 5). The day prior to that, Shinall and Perez teamed up for an 8-1 victory over Pacific Lutheran on the No. 1 doubles court in the Tennis Pavilion.
 
On the men's side, Will Church and Mike Smolskis are both 2-1 in singles competition. The Loggers are 2-1 as a team this spring, with both wins coming against Pacific Lutheran.
