TACOMA, Washington (November 1, 2024) - Logger swimming faced off against the Whitworth Pirates this Friday evening for the first conference meet of the 2024-2025 season. In this year's preseason polls, the Pirates' women's team was voted into second place, and the Loggers followed closely at fourth. In the men's poll, the Loggers and Pirates were neck-in-neck; the Pirates in first and the Loggers in second.
The Loggers, both men and women combined, placed first in ten of this evening's races. The Pirates, however finished first in the other 12, just edging past Puget Sound. On the women's side,
Trinity Link finished first in both the 100 Yard Freestyle and the 200 Yard IM. The women's team fell 95-110, and the men's team had a similar finish, with the Pirates pulling ahead 111.5-93.5.
