PORTLAND, Oregon (November 15, 2024) - Logger Swimming was unstoppable this evening against both Lewis & Clark when Lewis & Clark hosted both the Loggers and the George Fox Bruins for their "Double Duel".
The Loggers have continued to gain momentum during the start of the season which has already seen plenty of strong placements from first-years. "Dominated" was the word from Logger head coach Jay Daniels, who applauded Lance Meilke and
Will Cabana, who "carried" the men's score.
Sam Lyon was also at the top of his game, finishing first in the Men's 500 Freestyle and helping the Men;s 200 Relay, along with Cabana, take first place.
Lara Franco,
Trinity Link,
Camille McClafferty, and Maddy Brennen all had great days in the pool, said Daniel. McClafferty won the Women's 500 Freestyle, and Link and Brennen led the Women's 200 Relay to victory. Brennan took first in the 200-Butterfly as well. Link is fresh off of a Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week award, and with this week's performance is once again in the running to be honored.
