AMERICAN LAKE, Washington (November 9, 2024) - The University of Puget Sound was one of three schools at the PLU Fall Fixture today at American Lake. "We had a solid day of friendly racing against SPU & PLU", said Logger Crew Coach Dave Hammond. "Our 1V raced tight with [DII] SPU's 2V, and was able to beat PLU's 1V!" He stressed the importance of the Fall Fixture, hosted by Pacific Lutheran at American Lake in Lakewood. "It's always good to pick up a win against conference competition, but the real success of the day was so many walk-ons from all teams getting a chance to do some side-by-side racing for the first time."
Hammond voiced his thanks to Seattle Pacific and Pacific Lutheran for their role in the day and providing a great opportunity for all teams to get on the water one last time before the Spring season begins. The Loggers placed first in the 1km 2V/Nov and second in the 3km WV8 and the WN8+.
Puget Sound Crew's first meet will be on March 8th at the PLU invitational, at American Lake in Lakewood, Washington.
