PORTLAND, Ore. – The Puget Sound Logger men's tennis team fell to the California Lutheran University, 8-1 on Friday afternoon at Lewis and Clark College.
The Loggers solo win featured freshman
Jason Rowe and
Tyler Blixt who won the set 8-7 at No. 3 doubles.
Noah Henderson and
Conor Blakeney lost to Andy Ai and James Truong by an 8-6 margin in No. 1 doubles. In No. 2 doubles,
Will Church and
Brayden Sawyer dropped the set 8-3 against Ethan Sherwood and Loup Sudre.
Rowe was stunned at No. 1 singles play falling in the first set 6-0, then 6-3. In No. 2 singles, Henderson displayed the most competition only losing to Ai by set scores of 6-2 and 7-5 and
David Lybeck lost 6-0, 6-4 to Truong in singles No. 5.
The Loggers will be back in action Saturday, March 2nd, at 10 a.m. in Spokane to face Whitworth University.
